Job Summary
The Brand Manager is responsible for building, maintaining, and growing the brand’s identity in the fashion and/or beauty retail market. This role ensures that all products, campaigns, and customer touchpoints align with the brand’s vision, values, and target audience while driving awareness, loyalty, and sales.
The ideal manager will combine strong analytical skills with creative vision to oversee buying, merchandising, operations, and brand representation across all touchpoints. This role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration across stores, marketing, and supply chain to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Buying & Product Management
- Responsible for the entire OTB process from building the sales budget and assortment preparation.
- Develop and execute seasonal buying plans aligned with brand positioning, trends, and customer preferences.
- Manage product lifecycle: launches, reorders, phasing out slow-moving stock, and coordinating exclusive collections.
- Ensure optimal stock levels across all stores and channels to maximize sales and minimize overstock.
- Negotiate with vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure favorable terms, delivery timelines, and product quality.
2. Sales & Operations Management
- Monitor daily store operations and sales performance; provide actionable insights to improve revenue and efficiency.
- Implement sales improvement initiatives, including promotions, pricing strategy, and upselling programs.
- Track KPIs, including gross margin, sell-through rates, and inventory turnover, to inform business decisions.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure operational standards, team performance, and customer experience excellence.
3. Strategic Planning & Financial Management
- Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share and revenue.
- Monitor and improve gross margins through pricing, promotions, and inventory optimization.
- Prepare monthly business reviews for each brand covering performance, brand KPI’s and key financial figures as growth, along with an action plan for any pending issues.
4. Customer Insights & Market Analysis
- Analyze customer behavior, preferences, and feedback to inform product selection, marketing campaigns, and store operations.
- Conduct competitor and market trend analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Recommend innovative strategies to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate store teams to achieve business objectives.
- Provide seasonal and regular trainings on sales techniques, visual merchandising, operational best practices, and brand standards.
- Promote a positive and customer-focused culture across all teams.
6. Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience
- Ensure consistent, appealing, and on-brand visual merchandising across all stores and channels.
- Collaborate with marketing and store teams to implement seasonal VM guidelines and campaigns.
- Maintain the highest standards of in-store presentation, signage, and overall brand representation.
7. Marketing & Omnichannel Coordination
- Collaborate closely with marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and campaigns, while providing all needed visual aids and data.
- Support digital initiatives, including online merchandising, social media activations, and promotions.
- Ensure consistency of brand experience across all offline and online channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Brand management in the retail sector
- Strong background in buying, merchandising, and OTB planning
- Proven experience managing retail KPIs, budgets, and gross margins
- Strong analytical skills with ability to turn data into action
- Experience leading multi-store teams and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills
- Solid understanding of omnichannel retail and brand positioning
- Strategic thinker with hands-on operational execution
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
